  • That's all from this game! Bangladesh win the series with a game to spare and they will be pleased while Sri Lanka will hope to finish the series on a high after two disappointing outings. The last ODI will be played on Friday, 28th May 2021 at 1300 local (0700 GMT). Do join us then. Cheers and take care.
  • Mushfiqur Rahim, Player of the Match, says to win is a special thing and to contribute from the front really feels good but he is gutted as he couldn't finish the innings. He even adds there is a lot of areas to work on, this is not an easy track to play, but he is sure the teammates would take notes about the batting here and work on it together and come back stronger in the next match.
  • Tamim Iqbal, the Bangladesh skipper, says that they won 2 games and is happy that they won the series but hopes that they can play their perfect game in the third ODI. Opines that Rahim's innings was very good and adds that the wicket played well too. Praises his bowlers, especially Islam and Taskin. Feels that he is happy with the bowling and fielding department and adds that they took a couple of good catches.
  • Kusal Perera says that the lack of experience cost them the game and in both the games, they have struggled. Adds that they have to back their strengths and they have to play fearless cricket.
  • Earlier, in the game, Bangladesh were in trouble but Mushfiqur Rahim's century helped the hosts post 246 which was a good score on the wicket. The Lankan bowlers were good with Chameera doing a good job. The target looked difficult but by no means out of reach but Sri Lanka collapsed big time and they have been defeated by a huge margin. There were some rain interruptions and the game was reduced to 40 overs but by then the game was done and dusted.
  • Sri Lanka were poor. They had a disappointing outing in the first ODI as well but they had shown a fight, but sadly, nothing in the second game. They bowled decently but their batting was poor. No one could make anything substantial and they crumbled against the Bangladeshi bowling. The problem was some batters got starts but could not capitalize and they have succumbed quite easily.
  • Bangladesh's bowlers were superb. They bowled superbly and did not give anything away to the Lankans. The spinners were superb, with Mehidy Hasan being the star of the show, picking up three wickets. Shakib too was brilliant while Mustafizur Rahman continued his form from the first game as well. Taskin Ahmed did not hold back as well as he bowled brilliantly and not giving Sri Lanka even a sniff. They will be pleased with the effort and they will go back proud.
  • An excellent win for Bangladesh. They have won the game quite comfortably, by 103 runs (DLS method), and have taken the series with one game to spare. They also move to the first position in the World Cup Super League table and it is a proud moment for them. They had come into this series after not winning 10 games and they have bounced back with a bang. Sri Lanka, on the other hand, gave a fight in the first ODI but they have been crushed in this game.
  • 39.6There it is! Bangladesh have won the game and also the 3-game ODI series, as they are leading by 2-0, with just the final game to go! A length ball on middle, this is jammed out to the long off region for a single. BANGLADESH WIN BY 103 RUNS (DLS)! 141/9
  • 39.5SIX! Udana wants to go down with all guns blazing here! Another short ball around off, Isuru Udana slams this one to the mid-wicket fence for a biggie.
  • 39.4On a shortish length and on middle, Isuru Udana comes ahead and looks to pull but misses.
  • 39.3Full toss on middle, this is bunted to the mid off fielder.

  • 38.3Fired on middle, this is nudged to the leg side.
  • 38.2On off, kept out.
  • Mosaddek Hossain comees into the action.

  • We are back! The Bangladesh players make their way out to the middle, followed by Dushmantha Chameera and Isuru Udana. How long will Bangladesh take to pick up the final wicket? We will find out. This is now a 40 over game. Just two overs to go. Mosaddek Hossain will start with the ball.
  • Update 2128 local (1558 GMT) - The covers are coming, I repeat, the covers are coming off. We should get going anytime soon and we might see Bangladesh pick up the final wicket. Stay tuned.
  • Update 2119 local (1549 GMT) - Good news, the covers are coming off and play should resume anytime soon with Bangladesh needing just 1 wicket. How long will this take? But as we speak, they have brought the covers back on. Ohh, the wait continues.
  • Update 2105 local (1536 GMT) -  Well, well, the rain has returned with only 1 wicket remaining and the covers are coming on. It is raining very heavily and the players are running off the field. • Dushmantha Chameera is the last man in.
  • 36.2OUT! TAKEN! Bangladesh are just one wicket away from pouching the series now. The skipper takes his third catch of the game and the game is nearing it's end now. A good length ball around off, Lakshan Sandakan looks to clear the man at mid on, but does not get the elevation that he wanted on this. Tamim Iqbal shuffles to his left and grabs onto this. Bangladesh are closing in, on a well deserved win here.

A loopy ball on off, Hasaranga dances down the track and looks to swing his bat but miscues it completely and the ball turns and beats the man and gets dragged on to disturb the off stump. 3rd wicket for Hasan today. 133 needed off 98 balls, does not look like it can be scaled though.
  • 33.3DROPPED! Loopy ball on off, Hasaranga slog sweeps it, hits it uppishly to wide of long on, where Afif Hossain is running in from deep mid-wicket to gather the ball but could not manage to do it and the batsman take a couple.

  • 32.1Fullish delivery on middle, Hasaranga guides it through the cover for a single.
  • DRINKS! Bangladesh have got Sri Lanka right where they want them. The hosts have snared 6 wickets and are not making run-scoring easy for the Islanders. But, in the first ODI too, they were at such a phase, but Hasaranga came out and almost turned the game around for Sri Lanka, and they have him out in the middle too. A lot will depend on him and also on Bandara, as he has to play that supporting role to perfection. With 136 more needed from 108 balls, this game could go either way, but it looks to be moving the way of the hosts. Now, Mustafizur Rahman comes back into the attack. 3-0-11-1 so far for him.
